The data are then analyzed and returned to your phone. These analysis results are also stored on our servers. We also use the collected data to further improve our app.
In addition, the data are processed as part of the research project “Multi-Device Ecologies Towards Elaborate UX”, short title “MEETeUX” of the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten ForschungsGmbH to evaluate the usability of the app in the context of the project.
Scientific publications do not disclose personal information in order to assure that third parties cannot be lead to an identification of the person. The University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten ForschungsGmbH also ensures that the data does not reach unauthorized third parties and is stored on secure, encrypted servers or in restricted areas. If a data processing in external cloud systems (e.g., Dropbox, Dropbox for Business, Tresorit, etc.) is unavoidable, the research faculty members ensure that this data is protected by separate encryption from unauthorized access by third parties.
EXTENSION OF DATA TO THIRD PARTIES
To run the app, we need to pass on information that we collect through the app to third parties inside and outside the European Economic Area. This can happen in the following cases:
– If necessary, we can share your data with governmental organizations in order to prevent damage to you, us, or others.
– As described above, we plan to use your data in an anonymous form for scientific purposes.
